Why Dragonfly?

The dragonfly, in almost every part of the world symbolizes change in the perspective of self realization;  the kind of change that has its source in mental and emotional maturity and the understanding of the deeper meaning of life.

The traditional association of dragonflies with water also gives rise to this meaning to this amazing creature. The dragonfly’s scurrying flight across water represents an act of going beyond what’s on the surface and looking into the deeper implications and aspects of life. The dragonfly totem carries the wisdom of transformation and adaptablity in life.

They are a symbol of metamorphosis and transformation, inspiring us to bring about changes needed in our lives in order to reach our full potential. Dragonflies are the keepers of dreams, the energy within that sees all of our true potential and ability, reminding us that anything is possible.

Mary Ann is happy to share that "Dragonflies are dear to my heart as I began to see them all around me when my brother, Tony, died 27 years ago. When my father died 3 years ago, I saw dragonflies in tandem. This is my sign from above that they are both always with me, watching over me, protecting me, loving me, and giving me hope that all will be okay. I dedicate our studio to all who have gone before us."
